Letters in Support of Connie Pillich
Rick Madden, Lt. Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
Connie Pillich served under my command in the United States Air Force at Tempelhof Central Airport, West Berlin, Germany from 1985-1988. She was assigned as Chief of Plans and Programs. Even then, she was an energetic and intelligent problem-solver. She managed the programming and installation of a massive radar system upgrade serving the then three air corridors in and out of divided Berlin. She also planned and procured and oversaw installation of a base-wide computer network at a time when such an effort was Herculean. I have full confidence in her integrity and energy and urge you to vote for her to further improve the quality and value of your representation in the Ohio House of Representatives.
Jean Hostiuck
My name is Jean Hostiuck. I live in Reading Ohio. I’ve been in the same house for 40 years. I received a flier from a mortgage broker stating slow pay, poor credit – you can apply. Due to illness in my family, I needed money fast. Within 24 hours I was approved even though I was living on Social Security. Interest rates and monthly payments were over the top. I was threatened with foreclosure. I called Legal Aid and was advised that this was a predatory loan and they sent me to Connie’s law office, stating that she did some pro bono work. Connie fought long and hard to save my home. We were up against 3 tough attorneys, I freaked but Connie never flinched under their scrutiny. She was able to reach a settlement, my loan was re-structured at a much lower interest rate and affordable payments. Connie is a hard working, honest woman. She gave me back my life.
Herb Freeman
I have been a lawyer for 33 years, and my interest in politics has never faded, despite many disappointments. It is a privilege and an honor to endorse Connie Pillich, the best of the best.
Andrea Herzig
Connie Pillich is exactly the kind of woman we need in the Statehouse. She is smart and caring. She is a veteran, an attorney and a mother who knows that education and jobs are the most important issues facing Ohio today. Connie is honest and straightforward. I'm sure, that as she works on behalf of the 28th District, she will bring those values to everything she does.
Lt. Annette Youngblood, United States Army, Kuwait
Connie Pillich completed my divorce while I was in a War Zone, my husband was in Europe, and our marriage license was in Ohio. After 4 months she successfully completed what no other attorney seemed confident could be done. I am grateful for her support and guidance during that difficult time. I support her candidacy 100%!
Dave Cokely, Lee's Summit, Missouri, University of Oklahoma Class of 1982
I wanted you to know just what an incredible opportunity you have at hand. I have known Connie Pillich since 1978. We have stayed in touch across the miles and the years, and for that I am most thankful. I do not know anyone who has more intelligence, strength, conviction, integrity, and compassion than Connie, and I have certainly never seen any other candidate for any political office who could possibly come close.
For almost 30 years, I have seen Connie stand up for the rights of the under-represented time and time again. I have seen her leadership in action, and it's always been fair to everyone, responsible above reproach, and intelligent beyond her years. I've seen her in the morning after spending a long night with a sick or troubled resident of the dormitory wing she supervised, and I know those women she helped and guided are still her close friends today all these years later. She will touch your life and never forget you.

I first knew Connie Pillich as my attorney but quickly learned that this isn't the limit of her skills. She's a great listener, as one might expect, but it doesn't stop there. She listens through what people say to hear what they really mean, then has the courage to reflect this back with an uncommon grace and compassion. Combined with her valuable Air Force background and training, Connie will be just the leader we desperately need.
I've told Connie, and others, that if she keeps up her current behavior (listening and leading with integrity and compassion) she'll risk giving attorneys a good name. I think she can do the same for us in Columbus if we have the courage to let her try.
