Constance M. Pillich
I grew up the youngest of five children in a small, working class suburb
of Buffalo. My dad worked at the steel plant until he put himself
through college at the University of Oklahoma. He became a journalist
and, later, a banker. My mom was a teacher, having accomplished the
incredible task of graduating from college after having five children.
My father was very proud of my mom’s accomplishment. We all went to
Mom’s graduation.
Both of my parents had grown up in urban neighborhoods during the
Depression. Their parents had encouraged in them a love of learning and
a respect for education. They passed that on to me, along with a strong
sense of right and wrong, respect for others, a desire to achieve, and a
commitment to serve the public good.
I attended public schools and graduated with honors. I put myself
through college with an Air Force ROTC Four-Year Scholarship, student
loans, and part-time work. After graduation, I was commissioned into the
United States Air Force as a second lieutenant. While on active duty, I
obtained my MBA and traveled to 17 countries. My last assignment was as
a recruiting officer for the college scholarship program at the
University of Cincinnati.
After I married my husband, Paul Forshey, I received an honorable
discharge from the Air Force and started my family. I attended the
University of Cincinnati College of Law. While a student, I interned for
the Hamilton County Prosecutor and Public Defender Commission. In 2005,
I opened my own law firm, Webb & Pillich LLC, in Montgomery. I live in
Montgomery with my husband, our daughter, Kayla, and our son, Tallin.
On active duty, I achieved many accomplishments and received many
